Grabbed these free loops on a whim...looking for something fresh to use in Easy Drummer 2.
Install went smooth and was checking the grooves out in no time. Well played and edited performances with another pallet to choose from rather than the midi packs available from Toontrack. Liked then so much i went back and purchase 5 more packs from The Monkey.
Check them out... I'm sure you will add to your collection with some Groove Monkey midi packs.

Not as much variety as I’d hoped
While the base grooves are what I was hoping for, the different verse grooves only differ by the end fill, not the drums/cymbals being played. I really hope a follow on pack is released with more groove options.

Good overview
Getting this pack was a great way for me to get an overview of the other Groove Monkey Drum packs available. I've even used some of these sample loops on songs. I've purchased 5 packs (so far) which all loaded easily following their You Tube instructions, but for some reason these would not load the same way. Finally after about an hour I got them to load into Superior Drummer 3, Just don't ask me how I did it cause I'm still not sure myself!

I tried the free pack out of interest for use with ezdrummer. The riffs are nicely labelled and sound good without needing any tweaking. I will certainly look at their paid packs when I need new rhythms in the future.

The drum sample packs are pretty good, but I find they sound a bit thin on their own so I tend to mix and match them and then double them up (i.e. two snare sounds on the same beat, etc)

Groove Monkee - Great Grooves
I use Groove Monkee grooves with Steven Slate Drums (SSD5) and they are great! extensive well produced sets with loads of variation (verse, chorus, fills, intros etc.). Ideal for a non-drummer to get great drum tracks.
