I like the 8 bar grooves, I wish it were laid out more like the Doom collection. But still worth every penny. The Doom collection by far is the best I have ever come across, I use the hell out of it

I’ve personally purchased several drum midi packs from the Groove Monkeys and I’ve never been disappointed. All of them are fantastic and not quantised to death. Add to that really great prices and they’re a real winner now get making more of them please

My favorite midi pack I've ever found. So loose and off the grid. I wish all packs were like this. First time I felt like I could make my record the way I wanted with drum vst was when I got this pack.

Power Rock MIDI Drum Loops Wonderful drum loops. Just what I need!

Rock and Metal I've been using groovemonkee now for a couple of years and I've found that you can be really creative with there midi . I use br800 from boss with no problems using the drum patterns. Also reaper and sonar platinum. Everything sounds great. I would highly recommend groovemonkee.

Always great stuff GM always hits the nail on the head. The tracks themselves are great and very professional sounding. I use them in Studio One with Addictive Drums 2 and EZ Drummer 2. The enclosed installer always puts the files in the right place and saves a ton of time over doing it manually.

Great Pack all of Groove Monkey's packs are well organized by son parts, tempo, fills, and so on. Also the come in different mappings which is cool because they are compatible with most drum samplers in the market. I highly recommend the product.

power rock i love anything by groove monkee!! im a %100 disabled vet, retired 5 years ago. wasn't sure what i was going to do ive always been into music, so why not expand and see what happens everything started to fall into place except im not a drummer, so the products offered give me tons of creativity also........bonus. yay! i dont.....or should i say, didnt know anything about writing midi for drums. again, yay! now thanks to groove monkee......i'm getting a handle on it and my patterns are becoming more and more human sounding all the time. i will continue to buy as long as they continue to put out great products! thanks Groove Monkee!!! ed

Review of Groove Monkey's drum groove products Over the last couple of years I have purchased several of groove monkey's drum groove packs including but not limited to, Contemporary Rock, Fusion, Big Easy, Blues Rock, Funk Hip Hop RNB, Power Rock, Progressive Rock, Rock 2, Retro Funk. Rock E1 & E2, and World Beats. Some I use way more that others simply because of the what types of music I tend to gravitate too, however, do not discount the fact that the others I'm glad I have and when needed will make use of. I tend to word with various artists, many of which come with songs that need other instrumentation and drums are one of the biggest and most difficult thing in general to record live. However, with programs like BFD3 and groove packs from your company and others make my life much easier. There are some things I like about groove monkey and some I think could be improved. I like that each groove has a lot of different variations on the hats and ride giving me and my clients many choices in that respect as well as many fills to go with each of those beats is also one of the good things about your packs. As far as negatives go is mostly in the way your packs don't seem to make use of BFD's various articulations. Examples would be on the snare mostly. The snare has many different ways to hit the drum to get differing sounds out of it. Flams, drags, hit, rimshots, rim click, choke and a couple others. However, from what I can tell your packs do almost everything with just the use of the hit and using volume changes to make the articulation. Sometimes that works fine, but other times I find myself spending time working on the snare to get the sound that I'm looking for. Other than that I really do like your products and use many of the grooves not only in concert with my clients but in my own material as well. I would like to see more funk packs as that is my own personal obsession in music but I'm sure you can tell from my purchase history I have a fairly diverse taste in music. Power Rock MIDI Drum Loops Awesome midi loops!!!! Already found some great uses for a few of my projects. Tremendous quality and great performances.

Good addition to EzDrummer Libraries Reasonable price, easy buying process and installation, well played patterns. The only gripe would be that some loops are too dynamic, meaning that e.g. the Toms are at very low volume compared to bass drum or snare...But all in all great product.

Fully usable as usual Great selection of traditional rock drum loops. I use them mostly for filling out more intense death metal passages and they work perfectly with Room Sound's Blasting Room sample library. No big shocks with snare hits that are 127 velocity where you least expect them to be. A very happy customer, again :)

Good stuff Very good MIDI beats and very affordable. I use EZDrummer and they work just like Toontrack files so that's good. My only gripe is not with Groove Monkee necessarily but I wish the filenames made more sense. It would IMO make it easier to use. But, it is what it is and these are as good or better than the ones you can buy from Toontrack and a lot more affordable.

Punk n power rock midi Getting a solid drummer is difficult. With these midi loops, problem solved. I've had way too many bad situations with drummers, but when combining these loops with superior drummer there's nothing you can't record. PLUS, the price is beyond reasonable. Thank you groove monkee for your great service. I'll be back.

Snare Variety I would give it 5 stars except all of the eights beats variation are done primarily with kick. It would be very cool if some of the grooves used more snare variety instead of just quarter notes. More ghost notes patterns would be awesome as well. That said, the selection of components(intro, verse, fill, etc..) for arranging pop songs is fabulous.

Power Rock This is the core! I love how these grooves ride the fine line between keeping those steady straight beats and adding frills and embellishments. Sometimes I find drum grooves too "busy", which sound great when you listen to them in isolation, but are too busy in the mix. These are 'goldilocks' just right!

Power Rock MIDI Drum Loops - purchased last week I use ACID Pro and Superior Drummer and I was curious, if Groovemonkey's drum loops would fit. And they do perfectly! No tweaking or amendments necessary, the loops are like those from my softsynth. I haven't had the chance to go through all of them by now, but so far they sound very good. I use Groove Monkee Loops (almost exclusively) for my solo guitar CD projects. I'm a solo guitarist/bassist/keyboardist, and when I need drums, I used Groove Monkee. I've purchased 12 of their collections and use them in all of my solo guitar recordings. My latest acoustic CD using all Groove Monkee loops is available anywhere you download music or at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/ericpeterson. I like the ease of install, the variety, and the fact that I've been able to find beats close enough to what I needed to use them for entire albums. I believe the cost is reasonable and have never felt that a collection purchased wasn't worth what I paid. I hope they continue putting new collections together and elaborating on what is currently available. My new rock CD (22 songs) is under way and is also 100% Groove Monkee loops from the hard rock and power rock collections. Thanks Groove Monkee for assisting me in creating music!

Seriously usable grooves mapped flawlessly in AD2 Thanks to GrooveMonkee I don't have to be a MIDI editing expert to get the correct mapping in AD2. Also, these grooves fall into songs seamlessly. I'm a big fan of the build fills. Great stuff.

Using Groove Monkee Power Rock with Addictive Drums 2 I own several Groove Monkee loops and the quality and useability of the loops are very good. I play mainly Punk/Hardcore and the Power Rock loops are very usable for me. I only wish they were not set as songs, they are structured as verse, chorus ect. I like just having the beat name and tempo like Slam Tracks, but other than that no complaints. Groove Monkee has excellent customer service also.
