Laid-back, spacious drum beats crafted for lo-fi, chill hop, hip hop and downtempo productions. These royalty-free MIDI files focus on relaxed grooves with smooth, flowing patterns, prioritizing feel and pocket. Perfect for producers who want beats that breathe and groove without overpowering the mix.
Groove monkey midi helps my workflow on certain projects. Being able to go in and tailor midi for specific parts is a big plus. Pre-humanized patterns saves picky work. I'd like to see a drum midi pack aimed at some of the vintage patterns (particularly the more classic Latin rhythms) found on the old keyboard units (Casio, etc). They can be cheesy but fun.

I love this pack. Especially the integration of addictive drums 2 and EZ Drummer 3(works in groove agent, but not as intuitive as the others for me). The drums are smooth i can use in ambient, jazz and believe it or not a bit of cinematic. Need more like this.
I recently picked up the Groove Monkee Chilled Beat Pack, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The grooves are incredibly musical and tasteful — laid-back, expressive, and perfect for building chilled, downtempo, and ambient tracks. The feel is very natural, and it saves me a ton of time when composing because I can quickly drop in a beat that already has the right vibe and dynamics.
I use the pack primarily in REAPER, and everything integrates seamlessly. The MIDI files are easy to drag and drop, and they respond beautifully to whatever drum VST or sampler I’m working with. It’s been a huge boost to my workflow and creativity.
On top of the great quality, the customer service has been absolutely amazing — responsive, helpful, and genuinely supportive. That kind of service makes a big difference and gives me even more confidence in buying from Groove Monkee again.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for expressive, chill drum grooves that feel human and inspiring.
Superbly useful! There are so few Midi grooves for modern (ie Even feel) jazz. These are best on the market so far. Just great: a) they are simple - just kick, snare and HH/Ride. b) The HH/Ride pattern is wonderfully funky in some of the variations. c) 8 bar loops make creating tracks sooo much faster than 2 bars. d) There's a lovely gentle Crash at the beginning of each 8 bar loop. I tried to upload a MP3 chorus of the Naima (Coltrane) backing track I just made to illustrate what Chill offers, but the site only accepts videos or photos... Many Thanks! Best - Andy
A truly fantastic pack. No complaints. Works like a dream and so easy to customise. I love messing with the grooves to create new fills. I love Groove Monkee. :-)
