How to Import a Beat Buddy Project

Posted by Groove Monkee on

In this post, I'll explain how you can import a Beat Buddy project into the BeatBuddy Manager. You'll find the application at https://bbmo.singularsound.com.

Check out the video below or the detailed instructions that follow.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Connect Your Beat Buddy Pedal to Your Computer

    • Option 1: USB Connection
Plug your Beat Buddy pedal into your computer using a USB cable.
    • Option 2: SD Card Connection
Alternatively, power off your Beat Buddy pedal, remove the SD card, and insert it into your computer’s SD card reader.
    • Once connected, locate your Beat Buddy project. This is the root directory of the SD card or the root directory of the USB connection to your pedal.
  2. Open BeatBuddy Manager Online (BBMO)

    • Warning: please read the information on the app's Welcome screen!
  3. Import Your Beat Buddy Project

    • Click the "Open Project" button
    • Navigate to the location of your Beat Buddy project
    • If you're connecting to your pedal with USB or your pedal's SD card, select the entire drive (not a folder or a file)
    • Confirm your selection by clicking "Select Folder".
  4. Manage Your Project

    • You can now use app to edit and manage your Beat Buddy content.
    • This includes importing new PBF files, editing songs, creating new songs and more.
