I use the beatbuddy 2 as a drum machine, i.e. one pattern on or off. I play a solo performance of 1950s and early 1960s music. I need very simple beats and this purchase filled in some beats that I previously didn't have.

Great product! Nice drum quality sound, I use it in logic pro x. Still starting to discover all the tracks and fills (in logic pro x, be sure you import the Midi file to an audio track, and than select the track and change the instrument to "drums" ) you can use it to help you record your music.

The beats had loads of feel. I liked that whole song loops were included. The downloading and installation instructions were very good. I liked that there were specific instructions for my DAW (Cakewalk) and my drums (Addictive drums)

I really love the natural feel of your libraries, and being able to tweak individual notes to my liking is a real boon compared to static loops. I use NI Abby Road 60's drummer and between the authentic sound of the kit and the authentic grooves I'm dialed! Try as I might, some "simple" grooves and shuffles like the ones on Country Outlaws are hard to recreate convincingly. A real drummer made these however, and as the saying goes "ain't nothing like the real thing".

I've been looking for simple, but professional sounding, rhythm beats to help me "find the groove" in my acoustic based original music. A lot of what I've tried is too "busy" and sounds unnatural. Groove Monkey midi loops are great! They work seamlessly with my Session Drummer software, are easy to edit to fit my needs, and sound natural with a minimum of tweaking. Thanks Groove Monkey!
Country Outlaws is precisely as advertised. Looking for drum MIDI to create country compositions in the style of the best-known legends of the genre? Look no further. You can purchase the competition's products ( a certain Swedish company of decidedly Metal-head leanings) and hope for the best. Good luck with that. I found their offerings usable, but not what they do best. Or, you can just get this and be done with it. More than enough said.

Excellent as always If you are a songwriter and need some authentic sounding drum patterns complete with variations of the verse, chorus, and fills, you could (and will) do worse than Groove Monkee. I've used their loops as both the final drum track for some of my songs as well as using them as templates / examples for a "real" drummer to go from.
Classic I was so happy to find some usable grooves that feel real in my music.

A Welcome Addition I was VERY happy to see Groove Monkee make a start on covering those areas of traditional country music that the mainstream marketing teams, and most producers of digital audio software and content overlook. I have requested that maybe Groove Monkee could also pay some attention to Texas Honkytonk music and also Rockabilly. The styles of drumming in those genres is very stylised and, as I said earlier, overlooked. These days, when you see the phrase "country music", it most often does NOT link to anything that actually resembles that genre or its roots. Most of what's available only deals with MODERN country sounds, most of which fits pretty much in the rock/pop field anyway. Thank you Groove Monkee for producing "Outlaw Country", making a start on redressing the balance, and helping us die-hard traditionalists to create the music that we love, alongside everyone else.
Country Outlaw Midi As someone who creates the music for a songwriter friend I find these files invaluable for laying down a groove, a drummer I am not and find it a lot of hassle manually entering in drum notes especially fills and riffs, these files fit the bill perfectly.
Excellent!! There are plenty of clips to choose from - main, fills, intros, etc, so as a guitar player with two left feet, I can easily create a drum groove for a whole song in a few minutes. But I think the even bigger deal is that are NOT quantized, and thus have a Real feel to them!!
Finally someone that gets it. All of Groove Monkey beats are useable and sound great. They also work great with my BeatBuddy drummer.

Great loops with unique feel. It's hard to find good midi loops that have unique feel like these do. Also, having a good number of variations like these have is very essential for creating songs for me. Nice stuff.
