This is a fantastic midi pack that really covers so many bases. Great deal, too!
Brian O.
So far, I think they're pretty good for the price!
Adam A.
I wanted to make a backing track for someone and it was super easy and fun with this pack and a few others. Overall I’m very satisfied with the quality of this pack as usual with Groove Monkee.

Great grooves and lines that work great with the rock 2 drums. Would like to see more produced in the future

These MIDI sequences are really valuable time savers when building a new piece of music. It's easy to find and select bits and pieces, line them up in Cubase, my sequencer of choice, organise and arrange them into something resembling a beginning of a piece of music. Then you can manipulate and alter them to suit the piece you're working on.
The fact that real players created their groove(s) is perhaps the most important thing about this product. I recently wrote a blues thing in a boogie/shuffle feel and whoever played on these files is really good, what a groove that tune has! There's nothing as annoying as a robotic, 'stick to the grid' dead feel in a song or other sort music.
Thank you for a wonderful, useful and affordable product, amazing times we live in, once upon a time my four track 'simul sync' Teac was the bees knees, heh heh.
If you're interested in hearing the afore mentioned boogie, it's on the 'tube' and is named 'Boogie Europesque': https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFpcecyG6M4tyXvqzh7ohXA

These tracks are great! Unlike samples that are all but editable, midi tracks can easily be edited to suit your needs. Change the key, the bpm, the phrase itself. I start off using these bass midi tracks as inspiration and then tailor them to me needs as I go along. Awesome!

Perfect for use in my DAW.

I am very satisfied with the pack

I got the Rock Songs collection of bass lines because I needed ideas. I am a competent guitarist but without a lot of expertise on bass. I have played my own bass lines in my recordings but I love the Rock Songs collection for the ideas that I get from it. Not sure I could write entire songs using these bass lines as they are. While they are very good, I would have to write my songs around them. Instead, I can play along with them and develop my own ideas. Or mix'n'match parts from various tracks to form a composite. These are definitely useful and certainly worth the price. Highly recommended.

Awesome do buy this you'll be happier for it
Frank Y.
Can assemble the Bass midi quite easily. Bass is recognisable
Kevin D.
There aren't many bass midi grooves around (unless you buy EZBass) so these are a great buy. A great starting point for a song, especially since they sync with the rock drums grooves.
Ron M.
great work as always thank you
hey guys i think i ask before but more complete songs of
classic rock songs of 60s 70s and 80s would be greate
for example jail break that was a song my band use to play in the 70s and it was nice to play along with the drums same for bass that would be cool thanks

Rock Songs Bass MIDI
GrooveMonkee's Rock Songs Bass MIDI pack is a bit of a disappointment, as the included grooves lack anything in the way of human articulation; they seem to have been made using a keyboard rather than a bass. That said, this is the only GrooveMonkee product with which I have been disappointed. I hope now that Toontrack has EZBass on the market, GrooveMonkee will be able to make and release some quality bass MIDI -- particularly given the fact that their drum MIDI packs are such a great value compared to Toontrack's equivalents.

Not bad
Overall this site has good Midi packs. I really like the drum kits but when I got this one I was not super impressed. Maybe I need to check them out again.

The Rock bass and drum loops fill a gap in my collection and it's very nice to jam along. I'm using them in EZDrummer 2 with no problems at all. I'm looking forward to get more loops. :-)

Good for songwriting
I am happy with the speed I can lay down usable bass lines to sketch out songs. Works great with bass plugins.

not yet completely used your Midi files, because I have problems using them with Cusase Elements
About your Midi files that I bought, probably I didn't download the Rock and the Blues bass ones, and please maybe you could check about it.
The fact is that there are a lot of midi files ad I didn't have the time to verify all of them.
I tried to use some of them with Cubase Element 7 but, even if the Midi files are uploaded in Cubase, indeed others track , Halion tracks, opened with and I couldn't cancel them all.
Today I have bought Cubase pro 9,5 and will try, with the new release, to test the functionality of the software together your Midi files.
Thanks for now and old on. Vincenzo D'Amato, Milano Italy

Groove Monkee saved my brain!
I was not only bereft of the bass I was looking for, I was deep in the pit of writers block despair on the song I was writing - I tried several bass riffs of my own, nothing was working. So I turned to my secret weapon, GrooveMonkee. I put a riff together and voila, not only did I solve my bass problem, it took my song in completely new direction. This is not the first time that I have used the "Monkee" but the first time it actually took my project in a new direction - for that I am eternally grateful and award the Monkee five bananas... err stars

Excellent bass loops
There are plenty drum midi loops, of which Groove Monkee´s are among the best. But the Rock and Blues bass loops fill a gap in my collection of tools and are excellent. Look forwarding to getting more!

Good value
Nice bass lines which are great to jam along

Very handy!
You couldn't do it better!
In combination with high-quality virtual instruments you get perfect results. Groove-monkee - you groove! Thank you!

Rock Songs Base MIDI
A little disapointed at first. Dynamics lacking. Hopefully with more time and editing it will prove rewarding. My first MIDI bass download so early days.
Brian B.
Great composition tool!
Wow, what a sweet way to lay down some great grooves and grab some chord progression ideas! It's a snap in Cubase to just throw down a MIDI groove into my timeline and get some song ideas. Love it!

BREAKBEATS for film scoring.
I am one of a group of composers that work for Scorekeeper Music. We do music for the Turner Networks, Netflix and others. I needed breakbeats for
a scene and your Breakbeats worked just fine. I haven't tried the base stuff
yet. I will soon.
Thanks,
Dan

Nice Feel
Sounds great with Ample Bass J II - very realistic. Although I imagine it would sound as good with any other high quality virtual bass. My only complaint is that there aren't more Groove Monkee bass loop sets.

rock solid mid files
A great collection of midi bass files whick are very usable and in different keys.I dont use them as is,I will use the pattens alter bits and mold them to suit.I also use them to give me new ideas for songs.all in all a very flexible song writting tool.which can help to kick start new projects highly recommended.

Very useful
Very useful when you're not a bass player - not only to get ready-made bass parts, but also to learn how to make yourselves more convincing ones using the piano roll, how to manage velocity fluctuations for a realistic result and so on.
Derek
Good MIDI files
These guys are very Pro and everything works and does what it is supposed to. The Bass files and Rock 2 drum pack work well together. Well worth the money as the drums are nicely played and the bass too.

Beginners Help?
Midi Bass ok! i can create my own midi bass with Logic X for free. I use EZDrummer 2 with a variety of kits and music genres. Thanks groovemonkee but no thanks. I thought there would be more bass progressions being play by professional Nashville players as posted! I guess my Nashville skills are just as elite if not better. Maybe I misunderstood before purchase. This is amateur to novice at best. Just to be clear! I’m commenting on the bass midi only!

Groove Monkee Bass
It's about time someone addressed the need for good, usable bass loops in song format. Well done Groove Monkee! I'd love to see lots more styles and choices and I'm sure Groove Monkee is working hard to get more bass loops out. I'll be buying them! The only negative comment I have is that it seems that there should be more loops for the money....the loop packs seem just a wee bit skimpy. At the end of the day though, Groove Monkee has the right idea. Keep the bass loops coming Groove Monkee!
JJudge
Rockn' for sure, but.....
These loops feel great and are easy to manipulate to use with other styles & beats, but there is a draw back to them IMHO...
There are not enough ALT versions within the sets to really justify the price tag, again IMHO. They would be a fairer deal if they were priced as the drum loops are at the moment because of this.
Tho I CAN & HAVE recommended them to others based on their feel, solid feeling grooves & patterns this week, I do not recommend them based on price at this time because of the lack of ALT patterns across the 2 collections I own.
Jose G.
Very Cool and usable loops
I haven't used it deeply but made a test project with EZDrummer, Kontakt & Me playing guitar and I was Rockin right away.
100% recommended

Rock Songs Bass NIDI
Some fabulous loops, thank you! Using them already in my current arrangement!

Instant reward
They worked straight ahead in my song and with the 8-bar length they also gave inspiration to go further with my guitar and ezdrummer (I listen to them through Scarbee Pre Bass, the very same you used).
I am also confident for the next future, since midi can be easily transposed , tempo adapted, and manipulated (say, pitch shift to adapt to another key, erase a note etc) to create variations or fit to other sample content. This is a clever idea, I look forward to a funky bass!!

Great rocking bass lines, that can be adapted to most genres, also mostly 8 bars long, this is good because most midi stuff is usually 4 bars at best inc midi drum loops. A***********
