I haven't done any songwriting with these yet however I have gone in and listened to some in Logic/EZ Bass. They are nicely played and should be an asset. EZ Bass out of the box doesn't come with a wide range of MIDI snippets and this should help.
The bass lines could have been much better and bluesier.

Love the product. The only drawback is the way groove monkeys organise there midi file when it come to toontrack. It is a step behind.
I’d been fumbling around trying to get the right bass line for several months. Within hours I found the track(s) that had me headed in the right direction. With a few tweaks and incorporating my own fills I finally got the workable bass line I’d been looking for!

These midi patterns are really useful and inspiring for sketching songs in genres I don’t know well. A great way to get rolling with some terrific idiomatic phrases.
I finally have a bass player that is always on time and doesn’t drink my beer! Great grooves. Well worth the money. I would buy them again.

A good jam partner. I like the Blues Bass MIDI and it sync with the bluesdrums and then go ahead and jam. After I while I often get my own ideas but it's a great inspiration starter.

Blues Bass Midi Blues Bass Midi does not work on BeatBuddy .I would like to have been told this BEFORE purchasing and wasting my money . I have bought other midi files before from Groove Monkey .
Store owner replied: We do not claim these are for Beat Buddy. Beat Buddy is a 'drum machine' in a pedal. Bass MIDI files can be used in a Beat Buddy but it's an undocumented 'hack' requiring you to shift the bass notes into the range of bass notes in your kit. Then manually combine the bass MIDI with a MIDI drum loop. Note: To avoid purchasing non-compatible products, only purchase items listed in: Menu > Beat Buddy Loops

Blues Bass MIDI I really enjoy when I get MIDI thats true to its sound. Although I am still playing around with this, I am finding interesting possibilities for its usage. I highly recommend this product.
No overly impressed Love the drum midi, using it with SSD 5 and it sounds great. The bass midi however, is very simple (blues often is I know) and despite being played by professional session musicians, unless you've got a very good bass VI and want to spend a lot of time tweaking the dynamics etc it's probably easier to play the bass lines yourself, which is pretty easy in standard 12 bar blues.
Midi files great files have use in a couple of tunes :-)
Blues Bass - MIDI Lot's of potential in the clips contained in this package. Only started toying with them, but they are great. Anyone looking for some inspiration or starting points for bass, this is the package to get.
Blues Bass MIDI As much as I enjoy playing the bass and creating bass lines, Blues Bass Midi is perfect if you want to fire up some drum tracks, add your favorite bass instrument (I use Kontact Precision from NI) and jam. These pair perfectly with GM’s drum MIDI. I like the variety of styles and keys. Another great product from Groove Monkee!
