Meet the Drummers

Mike Adamo

Mike Adamo is a veteran studio drummer, musician and up-and-coming producer. He’s a SERIOUS student of all things funky: from Afro-beat to EDM to Hip Hop.

Mike’s the author of the best-selling book, "The Breakbeat Bible". It was voted 2nd place in the 2012 Modern Drummer Poll for “Best Educational Book”. In 2013 he wrote a 6-part article on funk drumming for Modern Drummer Magazine.

Joe Babiak

Joe Babiak has over 20 years of drumming experience recording and touring the world playing everything from Prog to heavy metal.  He’s played with some big names: Kill Hannah, Geno Lenardo (Device, FILTER, Chevelle), Joe Grah (Loser, Jibe), Bill Gower (Boy Hits Car), Cage9 (with members of Powerman 5000).

In 2014, Joe performed with David Ellefson of Megadeth and Frank Bello of Anthrax on their “Altitudes & Attitude” collaboration.  

Joe has a B.A. in Music from Elmhurst College, endorsement deals with Sonor, Sabian  and Vater and has appeared in Modern Drummer magazine five times.

Chris Coleman

Chris Coleman (Prince, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, Beck, Stanley Clarke) has over 30-years’ experience and is one of the world’s most sought-after R&B and Gospel drummers. He teaches and tours all around the world, usually surrounded by the biggest names in the industry.

In 1999, Chris graduated with honors from the Drummer's Collective. In 2001, he topped 30,000 other drummers for 1st place in guitar Center’s “National Drum Competition”. Chris has endorsements with Sonor, Meinl, Vic Firth and Evans.

Patrick Doody

Chicago session drummer Patrick Doody has over 20 years of professional experience.  His live performance credits include: Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Jr. Wells, Magic Slim, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Otis Rush, J. Geiles, Chris Robinson and the Black Crows Band, Blues Traveler's John Popper, Taj Mahal, Ronnie Baker Brooks and many more.

Patrick studied with legends Pat Wertico and Billy Cobham and has written several books on drumming techniques.

Rory Faciane

Nashville session drummer Rory Faciane has over 20 years of professional experience recording and touring. He’s recorded and toured with a diverse group of signed acts such as Knorr, Biloxi, The Jay B. Elston Band, Fall From Eden and Charlotte Church.

He’s also opened shows with some of the biggest names in the business: Charlie Daniels, David Allen Coe, Black Oak Arkanasas, Marshall Tucker, Dixie All-stars, Travis Tritt, Slaughter, Survivor, Quiet Riot, Blue Oyster Cult, Blessed Union of Souls, The Misfits, Vince Neil, Social Burn, Dokken, Days of the New, Judas Priest and 3 Doors Down.

The winner of three national drumming competitions, Rory’s the author of six drumming books and videos. He’s a monthly contributor to Tambalaya magazine and been featured in Modern Drummer and DRUM! Magazines.  

Rory graduated with honors from The Percussion Institute of Technology and studied with drumming legends Gregg Bissonette and Guy Gelso.

Chris Morrow

Chris Morrow is a professional drummer and percussionist in the Chicagoland area and a graduate of the Berklee College of Music.

A highly versatile performer with experience in jazz, rock, blues, fusion and more, Chris can be heard on CDs by Christian Collin, Matt Robinson , the New Fuse,   the Jigawatt Trio and others.  Since 2001, Chris has been teaching at “A Sound Education” in Brookfield, IL.
