Andrew Kastner - Guitarist, Producer and Music Composer
Andrew Kastner has been involved in the entertainment industry for more than thirty years as a performer, composer, producer and manager. His accomplishments have spanned the music, television and film industries, having worked with major stars in each of those fields.
Andrew’s talents as a composer led music publishing giant Warner Chappel Music to lure him from the stage to create music for their hit projects in both television and film. His music was heard in the films Police Academy and In The Heat of The Night. Andrew also wrote Gold Record songs for the likes of Barry White, Chaka Kahn, Nicolette Larson, and Aaron Neville.
Andrew toured extensively and worldwide with both Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra and Natalie Cole.
He has also performed and/or recorded with the following artists; Michael Bolton, Amy Grant, Jeffrey Osborne, Peter Wolf, Chaka Kahn, Nicolette Larson, James Brown, The Young Rascals, Steve Stills, Joe Walsh, Robin Ford, Lee Greenwood, Mickey Gilley, Ginger Baker, Mery Clayton, The Drifters, Billy Preston, Cameo, Sam Moore, Mick Fleetwood, Jimmy Buffet, and many more.
He also founded the Los Angeles based group, Jack Mack And The Heart Attack.
Andrew just produced and co-wrote Michael Grimm’s new CD, I've Got Dreams. Grimm is the recent winner of the "America’s Got Talent" TV show. Andrew has also produced feature film music, television source and themes in styles ranging from R&B, Pop, Country, Rock, Alternative, Latin, standard, reggae, hip hop and Blues. He’s also produced other projects such as the Love Ride 25 and 26 CD compilations
