Mega Pack

The mega pack is a great deal!! I will definitely recommend it to other home recording enthusiasts. The grooves are very tight. Very easy to play along with. Love it.

I bought it because it was recommended by Shawn at Shootie School as being fully compatible with Toontrack's EZDrummer3. I use EZD3 a lot and I trust Shawn, and his video offered a discount from Groove Monkee, so I bought it. I've only used it a little bit so far, but it sounds great and was well worth the cost.

What I like the most about this bundle is the seamless Toontrack integration, and the fact that nothing is snapped to the grid- The MIDI has an almost human feel to it! Great Job Guys!

The drumloops are well created and due naming info the right loops are pretty easy to find. Some of the drumloops are disturbing the flow a little cause of how it was played, but overall the performances were great. I can recommend this to people who want to upgrade their workflow

I have the complete Groove Monkee drum midi package. I used the drum tracks with Addictive Drums and Superior Drummer 3. The midi was excellent and should provide more than enough options to assist with creating new projects. I am very happy with the purchase.

Started with a few packs now have the Mega Pack. I run a commercial recording studio and have many clients that need a "drummer in a box". I use EZ and Superior drummer but also use Komplete Studio drummer and Modo Drums also. I have used GM Midi beats on many rock blues and pop songs along with using them in Hip Hop Beat Production for clients. Next to the actual drum software manufactures I find GM Midi drum my go to in many client situations.

I'm swimming in grooves! I usually start writing songs with a riff, a hook or lyrical snippet. But this lets me just jam my way in. Exactly where I hoped to be.

The Mega-Pak is simply MIDI drumming at its best! I own a large variety of drum apps and these MIDI loops translate well to all of them! Great to have the many mappings for various drum apps. As a keyboard player, I've played with many phenomenal drummers and these MIDI loops compare extremely well! Groove Monkey will really get your drum tracks groovin'!

If you're going to buy midi drum loops, just get this Mega Pack and enjoy the value. There's a huge amount of midi loops in huge variety of styles, and the midi comes preformatted for your specific drummer such as AD2, EZdrummer, GGD, ujam or many others. These midi loops sound good too - not all drum midis will feel as good as these.

I got the Groove Monkey Bundle so I could add more MIDI drum files to my EZdrummer. Its database search is great to find the best beat sequence for my music.

Groove Monkee is ALWAYS the "go to" first. Best Grooves - unquantized - sounds so much more like recording a real drummer. If you want to quantize you can, but I prefer to leave it natural. The performers are really good. Nice pocket grooves, or fills that push into the next section, only the way "Real" drummers do. I have some of the competitors MIDI files but they sound like they recorded the same drummer for all styles and some sound a bit too perfect for my taste. Groove Monkee either uses the most awesomely versatile drummer on the planet or they use different performers to suit the styles. And they really work well for all genres. I have recorded some of the top session players back in the late 90's - and that is the vibe I get, real, honest and solid. Only I don't have a sweaty drummer asking me to turn the click track up. (I do kind of miss that) The Mega Pack is the way to go. I bought one or two packs "a-la-carte" a year or so back - After I found that most of the grooves I gravitated towards were Groove Monkee I figured why mess around... give me more.... instant buy. I'm a big fan of Toontrack's Superior Drummer and own a fair amount of their MIDI packs. I always thought their MIDI packs was slightly lacking in content. Not enough variations, loops a bit too short, etc. Groovemonkey solves this in spades. Not only do their MIDI files import perfectly into SD3, they come with enough variation and lengths to be used as great building blocks for a song in practically any genre. Groovemonkey's MIDI packs is what Toontrack's packs should've been.

I bought the Mega Pack and wish the BeatBuddy Premium Library offered the midi mapping versatility provided by Groove Monkee because I love being able to use song files in other platforms. Unless I'm missing something BeatBuddy Premium Library content can only be used with the BeatBuddy format.

I've barely scratched the surface on this, because I've been mostly reprocessing old material, but everytime I jump into this collection, it sounds huge with Superior Drummer (and others I'm sure). Whichever drummer played this material are on time, but still groovy and 'swinging'. All the extra styles are credible to their genres. As I said, I'll be exploring and using these files forever. It really is worth just buying the whole shmeer at once and being a king of all midi files!

Mega cool! I setup a macro to spend about 20 seconds on each midi clip and then go on to the next. I don't think I will be able to listen to all the clips in my lifetime.

Grooviest Monkees in the Circus Groove Monkee has been my go-to MIDI for use in Superior Drummer for many years. Its mind boggling how many styles and variations there are to choose from, and they really do result in sounding like an actual drummer’s playing in my sessions. Real drum playing - just what I was looking for! If you want your drums to sound like they were played by a real person - this midi pack is definitely one to grab! The installer was a nice touch, autofilling my EZDrummer user midi.

"GM" is the best! I have been using it for almost 10 years since I met "GM". When making a rhythm track, "GM" brings new ideas to the song. I decided to buy a new "GM" for the first time in a while to use the "SSD5". It was correct that I bought this "Mega Pack". I write "rock" and "pop" music, but with this "mega pack" I think I can make a cool and ideal rhythm track. "GM" will continue to be an indispensable part of my music. I recommend "Mega Pack".

Mega Pack for Superior Drummer and EZ Drummer Nice Set of Midi files for the Plug ins. Best Midi profiles I've been able to find for making music. Most Midi profiles are to over filled and need to be a little simpler sometimes. These work great.

SSD5 + groove monkee I'm a guitarist and I bought the mega pack to ease me making quick, but nice to listen to, demos. It is perhaps a bit early to give a feedback as I consider myself as a newbie using grooves with SSD5. Anyway, the collection is quite impressive (quantity & quality) ! For me, it would be even better and easier to use (specially for non drums player) if it came with more famous songs as exemples. Some libraries have these, but to increase their number, it could be also a table (or database) with names of songs and which grooves and BPM to use to get close to each song ! Nice work anyway :-)

Nice. Good grooves. A couple are a little "rushed " snares landing well before the beat. Not an issue, as I tend to tailor midi drums to my liking. Having a heck of a time getting easy drummer 2 to include the Groove Monkey beats in the tap search. Most likely operator error. I'll get it figured out. Satisfied with the product.

Amazing amount of great loops! I'm reactivating my recording hobby with Cubase at the moment and although I didn't have a chance to check the many files yet it is just great so far. The implementation in Abbey Road Drummers and Groove Agent and Drum Mic'A was flawless and I can't wait to have the time to check how well it works together with my "secret agent" Jamstix. Mega Pack Mega Pack was purchased for use in BFD3 running within Reaper DAW. Using the installation utility in the Mega Pack the installed file structure appears confusing. Several other, but not all, drum applications appear besides BFD 2 (not any content BFD3 appears). However, I am sorting out the content and so far the rhythms I have auditioned from Mega Pack sound very realistic and usable for making music. I really appreciate the effort GrooveMonkee has done to make Mega Pack. Thank you.

Beats by the bunch - and it beats a drummer!! As a multi-instrumtalist (lacking drum skills) I either have to pay a drummer, encourage the drummer, explain to the drummer, record the drummer, edit the drummer, and then - usually - get another drummer and start over, GrooveMonkey has made my life a lot easier. The Mega Pack has a lot of variety and, since they're MIDI, I can edit them as I like without some "drummer" standing over my shoulder sayin, "you're not going to do that are you??" I LOVE IT!!!

After A Year & 3 Months...... ......something struck me during a recent mixing session. These GM loops are what they say they are! Let me explain.... My latest project for a friend had me creating drum tracks in the heavier end of the spectrum, it was mostly Hard Rock / Metal-ish with 2 everyday Rock style tracks. When I pulled up something from the Power Rock Pack, it sounded like it was Power Rock. When I pulled up something from the Punk Pack, it sounded Punk.....an Odd-ish time track from the Progressive Pack, it sounded authentic yet again. And this was using the GM, AD, and BFD mappings supplied by GM. My point is that most of the other guys Midi's beats would be FITTING beats, but not the RIGHT ones. They will take the same, say, Standard "boom POP boom boom POP" beat, sped it up or slow it down, toss in some ghost notes and call it a different feel, or even a different style! Tho the beats WOULD be Heavy, or Hard Edged, they did not SOUND right, or FEEL right. EVERY GROOVE MONKEE COLLECTION I USED FIT THE STYLE WE NEEDED, PERIOD! They felt & sound like they were PLAYED in that style, not regurgitated from another collection. Even tho as drummers we KNOW that Standard drum beats carry across a wide variety of styles, the FEEL of the beat changes, at time drastically. Groove Monkee is the real deal, hands down. After 15 months and at least a few hundred tracks done, I can say this without a doubt anymore. Groove Monkee is THE MIDI Drum Loop Collection to have, period!

The Groove Monkee/BFD3 combo makes it so easy to quickly build very convincing drum parts in practically any genre. I'm loving it. Thanks, Groove Monkee. Mega Pack - no brainer purchase I’m a sound designer and composer working in advertising, tv, cinema and radio, and am constantly working to strict and tight deadlines. Being able to get rhythms up and running very quickly in a variety of genres without getting bogged down in tedious programming, thus killing any inspiration, is absolutely essential, and can mean the difference between nailing a job or losing it. The Mega Pack gives me so many options, and yet is super quick and easy to get a track up and running in no time. It is worth every penny, no question! I’m running Logic Pro X and Pro Tools Ultimate with a variety of drum instruments and the workflow is seamless for me. I can’t recommend Groove Monkee highly enough.

Using It In EZDrummer 2 I got the megapack to be used in conjunction with EZDrummer 2 and they integrated flawlessly. When I use the Tap2Find feature, the midi files from Groove Monkee show up, which is something I was nervous wouldn't work. In fact, despite having a number of EZX packs from Toontrack, the GM midi is showing up more and more matching the beat I'm looking for.

Great Loops and Grooves The Mega pack is great : a lot of stuff in different styles. I like the way things are organized. There are a lot of variation, easy to customize. I use it with Abbey Road Kits and Studio Drummer. Really cool !

Groovemonkee Mega Pack If you do a lot of drum programming, especially for me this means naturalistic styles, with 'proper' fills etc then I highly recommend this pack. Its well labelled too, which is a big bonus...crucial. It works seamlessly with my NI drums - Studio Drummer etc. Can be a bit pricey to buy outside America though with exchange rates.

Groove Monkee Mega Pack I'm really impressed with these loops. The loops themselves are varied, have good feel, and aren't too showy to use. But the icing on the cake is the excellent integration with EZDrummer's Tap2Find feature. This makes it so much easier to find what you need quickly. Finally, the support from GM had been great: friendly and very quick response to my questions.

Comprehensive I bought this because I needed a large, varied library. At 30,000 midi files it was exactly what I wanted. The files sound good to my ears -- natural and interesting, not robotic.
